Job Overview

The Business Development & Programs Officer will play a pivotal role in identifying and nurturing strategic partnerships, securing funding opportunities, and supporting the effective planning and execution of CPHI’s health and development programs. This role requires a proactive individual with strong relationship-building skills and a deep understanding of the development sector in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other NGOs.
  • Research and pursue funding opportunities, including grant writing and proposal development.
  • Support the design and development of new program initiatives aligned with CPHI’s mission.
  • Monitor and evaluate program progress, ensuring alignment with objectives and donor requirements.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication to foster collaboration and support.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans and organizational growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Development Studies, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, program management, or fundraising within the nonprofit sector, preferably in Nigeria.
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating partnerships and securing funding.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong proposal writing capabilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with the Nigerian health and development landscape is highly desirable.
