Job Overview

The Teaching Assistant will work closely with lead teachers to support the educational and developmental needs of students across various grade levels within RESL schools. This role is crucial in facilitating a positive and effective learning experience, assisting with classroom management, and contributing to the overall success of students.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lesson plans.
• Provide one-on-one or small group academic support to students.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, breaks, and transitions.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring additional assistance.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as grading, record-keeping, and preparing materials.
• Foster positive student behavior and contribute to a respectful school culture.

Requirements

• A minimum of an OND or equivalent qualification in Education or a related field.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a K-12 educational setting is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with children.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of child development and learning principles.
