Job Overview

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all logistical operations for Solidarités International in Malaysia. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and efficient procurement, storage, and distribution of essential humanitarian supplies to support our programs and beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize the supply chain, including procurement, warehousing, and transportation of goods.
  • Develop and implement logistical strategies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor regulations, and local laws.
  • Oversee inventory management, stock control, and asset tracking.
  • Coordinate with program teams to anticipate logistical needs and provide support.
  • Manage and train logistical staff, fostering a culture of efficiency and accountability.
  • Liaise with suppliers, service providers, and relevant authorities.
  • Prepare logistical reports and analyses for management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Logistics Manager, preferably within the humanitarian sector.
  • Strong understanding of international logistics, procurement, and warehousing principles.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant logistics software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is an asset.
