Job Overview
The Fleet Officer will be responsible for the efficient management and maintenance of Fort Knox Group’s vehicle fleet, ensuring operational readiness, safety, and cost-effectiveness across all deployed assets within Nigeria. This role is critical to supporting our extensive security and financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company’s vehicle fleet.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Manage vehicle registration, insurance, and licensing requirements.
- Coordinate repairs and servicing with authorized vendors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate records of fleet mileage, fuel consumption, and expenses.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and security.
- Manage driver schedules and assignments for operational efficiency.
- Investigate and report on any accidents or incidents involving company vehicles.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fleet Officer or in a similar logistics/operations management role.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in relevant fleet management software is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with Nigerian traffic regulations and road conditions.
