Job Overview
The Regulatory Affairs Officer will be instrumental in ensuring Ubereness Nigeria Limited’s compliance with all relevant national and regional food and beverage regulations. This role is critical to facilitating market access and maintaining the integrity of our diverse product portfolio within Nigeria and across our distribution network.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regulatory strategies for new and existing products.
- Prepare and submit registration dossiers and applications to relevant regulatory bodies in Nigeria.
- Monitor changes in national and regional food and beverage legislation and provide guidance on compliance.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
- Review product labels, marketing materials, and advertising for regulatory compliance.
- Manage regulatory documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on regulatory matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Food Science, Chemistry, Law, or a related field.
- Proven experience (X years) in regulatory affairs within the food and beverage industry, preferably in Nigeria or West Africa.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian food and beverage regulatory landscape (e.g., NAFDAC).
- Strong understanding of international food safety and labeling standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in regulatory submission processes and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
