Malaria Consortium Nigeria is at the forefront of combating the significant burden of malaria in the country. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and a network of partners, we spearhead and contribute to crucial malaria control programmes, including Support to the National Malaria Control Programme (SuNMaP), NetWorks, and MAPS. Our work focuses on delivering vital technical assistance for malaria control, building capacity through harmonisation and training of healthcare professionals, and strengthening overall health systems. Job Overview
This role will involve contributing to the successful implementation of Malaria Consortium’s programmes in Nigeria. The successful candidate will play a key part in delivering impactful malaria control interventions, supporting health system strengthening initiatives, and collaborating with national and sub-national stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to support the achievement of project objectives related to malaria control.
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of capacity building and training activities for health workers.
- Contribute to monitoring and evaluation efforts, ensuring data quality and timely reporting.
- Support the strengthening of health systems at various levels to improve malaria service delivery.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with partners, including government ministries and local organisations.
Requirements
- Relevant academic qualification in public health, health sciences, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in public health programmes, preferably within the Nigerian context.
- Understanding of malaria control strategies and health systems strengthening principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a team.
