Job Overview
The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for delivering comprehensive technical support to clients across Port Harcourt and surrounding regions. This role requires a proactive professional who can manage both reactive and proactive support activities, ensuring optimal system performance and user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and on-site visits
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Perform system maintenance, updates, and patches
- Document all support tickets and maintain detailed records of resolutions
- Collaborate with the technical team to implement IT solutions
- Monitor system performance and identify potential issues
- Provide technical training and guidance to end-users
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of IT support experience
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+ or equivalent) preferred
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
