Job Overview

The Power Plant Electrical Engineer will be instrumental in the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems within our power generation facilities. This role requires a deep understanding of power plant electrical infrastructure and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of all power plant electrical equipment, including generators, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults, providing timely and effective solutions to maintain operational continuity.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of electrical infrastructure to identify potential risks and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and operational staff to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in a power plant environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of power generation principles and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and power system analysis software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
