Job Overview
The Unit Head, Digital Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive digital marketing strategies to enhance Wema Bank’s brand visibility, attract new customers, and foster deeper engagement with existing clients across all digital channels. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in leading digital marketing teams and delivering measurable results in the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement integrated digital marketing strategies aligned with Wema Bank’s business objectives.
- Oversee all digital marketing channels including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, content marketing, and paid advertising.
- Manage and optimize digital marketing campaigns to achieve target KPIs such as lead generation, customer acquisition, and ROI.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing digital marketing team.
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, IT) to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.
- Manage the digital marketing budget effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful digital marketing strategies, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- In-depth knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, HubSpot, social media management tools).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
