We are seeking a motivated and experienced Logistics Officer to join our team in Ethiopia.

Job Overview

The Logistics Officer will be responsible for managing and coordinating all logistics activities to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of goods and services for COOPI’s projects in Ethiopia. This role is critical in supporting our mission to assist vulnerable populations and facilitate development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the procurement, warehousing, and distribution of program supplies and equipment.
  • Manage transportation and fleet operations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and local regulations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
  • Coordinate with program teams and local authorities to meet logistical needs.
  • Ensure the efficient and cost-effective management of logistics budgets.
  • Monitor and assess supplier performance.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a logistics or supply chain role, preferably within the humanitarian sector.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, and transportation principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a challenging environment.
