In Nigeria, MSF actively responds to critical health needs, and we are currently seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our Nigeria Emergency Response Unit (NERU) as a Supervisor Medical Data Entry. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and timely recording of vital medical information, crucial for effective program delivery and response in emergency settings.
Job Overview
The Supervisor Medical Data Entry will oversee the daily operations of the medical data entry team, ensuring the efficient and accurate collection, input, and management of patient and program data within the Nigeria Emergency Response Unit. This position requires strong leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to MSF’s humanitarian mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the daily activities of the medical data entry team.
- Ensure the accurate and timely entry of all medical data into relevant databases.
- Implement and monitor data quality control procedures.
- Train and mentor data entry staff on protocols and software.
- Generate regular data reports for project managers and medical teams.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient and program data.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical data entry or a similar role.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Proficiency in data management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Understanding of medical terminology is an asset.
- Previous experience with humanitarian organizations is an advantage.
