Medserve LUTH Cancer Centre (NLCC) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Medical Physics Intern to join our world-class team in Lagos, Nigeria. Job Overview

This internship provides a unique opportunity for aspiring medical physicists to apply theoretical knowledge in a clinical setting, working alongside experienced professionals at a premier cancer treatment center. The role involves supporting the Medical Physics department in various operational and quality assurance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the calibration and quality assurance of radiation therapy equipment.
  • Support patient-specific treatment planning and verification procedures.
  • Participate in data collection and analysis for research and operational improvement.
  • Learn and apply safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the daily tasks and projects of the Medical Physics department.
  • Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Medical Physics, Physics, or a related scientific field.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of physics principles relevant to radiation therapy.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
