Job Overview

The SME/MSME Relationship Officer will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs). This position involves identifying potential clients, understanding their unique financial needs, and offering tailored Sovereign Finance solutions to foster their business expansion and sustainability within the Nigerian market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and acquire new SME/MSME clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients.
  • Assess client creditworthiness and financial needs.
  • Propose and structure appropriate financial products and services.
  • Monitor client portfolio performance and address any issues.
  • Represent Sovereign Finance positively within the business community.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in relationship management, sales, or business development within the financial sector, specifically with SMEs/MSMEs.
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian SME/MSME landscape and its financial challenges.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and product knowledge.
