Job Overview
The Commercial Relationship Management Officer will be instrumental in cultivating and expanding Wema Bank’s commercial client base. This role involves identifying client needs, providing tailored financial solutions, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to foster long-term partnerships and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial clients, understanding their unique financial requirements and business objectives.
Proactively identify new business opportunities and cross-sell a comprehensive range of Wema Bank’s products and services.
Provide expert advice and bespoke financial solutions to meet clients’ needs, including lending, trade finance, and treasury services.
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders within client organizations.
Monitor client performance and identify potential risks and opportunities, ensuring portfolio health.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in commercial banking, relationship management, or a similar client-facing financial role.
Strong understanding of financial products, services, and risk assessment principles.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to achieve sales and service targets.
Proficiency in relevant banking software and MS Office Suite.
