The Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) Foundation is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Account Officer to join our esteemed organization in Abeokuta, Nigeria. This role is integral to ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the Foundation.

Job Overview

The Account Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, and contributing to the overall financial health of the OOPL Foundation. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a significant national heritage institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  • Support audit processes by providing requested financial information.
  • Assist in the management of petty cash and expense reports.

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of a BSc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (Mandatory).
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel (Mandatory).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
