Job Overview

The Front Desk Officer/Accounts Officer will be the primary point of contact for visitors and will manage essential administrative and basic accounting functions. This dual role requires excellent organizational skills, a professional demeanor, and meticulous attention to detail to support the smooth day-to-day operations of Ibadan Business School Limited.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting and assisting visitors, students, and staff with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail and telephone calls.
  • Maintaining the reception area and ensuring it is organized and presentable.
  • Handling basic administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scheduling.
  • Processing invoices, receipts, and other financial documents accurately.
  • Assisting with bookkeeping tasks and maintaining financial records.
  • Reconciling petty cash and preparing simple financial reports.
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure efficient information flow.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a National Diploma (ND) in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a front desk or administrative role.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping software is an added advantage.
