Job Overview

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including accounting, financial planning, budgeting, and reporting. This role will play a pivotal part in maintaining Sabi Microfinance Bank’s financial health, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the bank.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Manage cash flow and optimize working capital.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ICAN) is a significant advantage.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar senior finance role, preferably within the financial services sector in Nigeria.
  • Strong understanding of microfinance operations and regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite.
