Fine Trading International Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Supervisor to oversee operations at our newly established agricultural farmland in Ogii Okigwe, Imo State, Nigeria. This role is pivotal in developing and managing our diverse agricultural ventures, which include existing palm trees, the strategic planting of Malaysian agri, coconut, plantain, banana, and various vegetable crops, as well as the development of a significant piggery. We are looking for a proactive leader to ensure efficient, sustainable, and profitable farm management.

Job Overview

The Farm Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operational efficiency of the entire agricultural farmland. This includes supervising farm staff, implementing best agricultural practices, managing crop cultivation and piggery operations, and contributing to the overall strategic growth and success of Fine Trading International Limited’s agricultural endeavors in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all planting, cultivation, and harvesting activities for palm trees, Malaysian agri, coconut, plantain, banana, and vegetable crops.
• Manage the establishment and daily operations of the piggery, including feeding, health monitoring, and breeding programs.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of farm laborers and other staff, ensuring adherence to schedules and safety protocols.
• Implement and maintain high standards of agricultural best practices, including pest and disease control, soil management, and irrigation.
• Monitor crop and livestock health, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate farm records, including planting schedules, yields, livestock inventories, and expenses.
• Ensure the efficient use of farm equipment, tools, and resources.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of farm expansion and improvement plans.

Requirements

• Proven experience in farm management, with a strong understanding of crop cultivation and livestock rearing.
• Demonstrable experience in supervising staff.
• Knowledge of various agricultural crops and piggery operations.
• Familiarity with agricultural best practices and modern farming techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in record-keeping.
• A degree or diploma in Agriculture or a related field is preferred.
