Marqeta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join our growing team. This remote role is crucial for building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with our key EU/UK-based customers. As a TAM, you will be the primary technical and payments liaison, ensuring our clients maximize the value of Marqeta’s innovative platform.

Job Overview

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) will serve as a trusted technical and payments advisor for several strategically important customers in the EU/UK. You will be instrumental in managing all technical aspects of these client relationships, driving adoption, and ensuring successful integration and ongoing utilization of Marqeta’s cutting-edge card issuing and payment processing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned strategic accounts.
  • Deeply understand customer use cases, business objectives, and technical environments to provide tailored solutions.
  • Guide customers through the technical integration process, offering expert advice on Marqeta’s APIs and platform capabilities.
  • Proactively identify and address technical challenges, escalating and coordinating resolutions with internal engineering and product teams.
  • Educate clients on new features, best practices, and industry trends in payments technology.
  • Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and expansion by ensuring technical success and value realization.
  • Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Technical Account Management, Solutions Engineering, or similar client-facing technical role within the payments industry.
  • Strong understanding of card issuing, payment processing, and relevant financial technologies.
  • Proficiency in API integration and technical troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical projects and multiple client relationships concurrently.
  • Familiarity with the EU/UK regulatory and market landscape for payments is highly desirable.
