Job Overview

FairMoney is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee all aspects of our payroll processing and administration in Nigeria. The Payroll Manager will ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, statutory deductions, and benefits for our employees, while maintaining compliance with all relevant Nigerian labor laws and regulations. This role is critical to maintaining employee satisfaction and ensuring operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including data input, verification, and processing for all employees.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, allowances, bonuses, and deductions (e.g., PAYE, NHF, Pension).
  • Liaise with HR and Finance departments to ensure all employee data is current and accurate for payroll purposes.
  • Prepare and submit statutory returns to relevant government agencies accurately and on time.
  • Maintain detailed payroll records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Address and resolve any payroll-related queries or discrepancies from employees.
  • Stay updated on changes in Nigerian labor laws and tax regulations impacting payroll.
  • Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or in a similar payroll processing role within Nigeria.
  • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian labor laws, PAYE, NHF, and Pension regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles related to payroll.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
