Job Overview

The Chief Business Officer (CBO) will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for spearheading business development, strategic planning, and revenue generation across all operational areas of Imperial Asset Managers Limited. This pivotal role demands a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the financial services landscape in Nigeria and a proven track record in expanding market share and cultivating strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to achieve ambitious growth targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments.
  • Oversee sales, marketing, and client relationship management functions.
  • Drive innovation in product development and service delivery.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing business development team.
  • Ensure alignment of business strategies with the company’s overall objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in asset management or financial services in Nigeria.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, strategy formulation, and execution.
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian capital markets and regulatory environment.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build and manage strong client and stakeholder relationships.
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
