Job Overview

Mikano is seeking a skilled and experienced Generator Mechanic Engineer to join our dynamic team in Kano, Nigeria. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal performance, maintenance, and repair of our diverse range of generating sets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel and gas generating sets.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Execute complex repairs and component replacements, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all generating sets.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians.
  • Stay updated on the latest generator technologies and best practices.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Generator Mechanic Engineer or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of diesel and gas engine mechanics and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
