Role Purpose
The Clearing and Documentation Officer job in Nigeria focuses on managing and processing all freight documentation accurately while ensuring full compliance with regulatory and customs requirements for smooth cargo clearance.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation and Processing Duties
- Verify shipment documents including invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, Form M, PAAR, and related documents
- Prepare and coordinate freight forwarding documentation for all shipments
- Maintain accurate shipment records and filing systems
Customs and Compliance Support
- Support customs clearance processes for import and export shipments
- Handle regulatory documentation including SONCAP, NAFDAC, and customs related processes
- Coordinate Letters of Authority between clients, agents, and shipping lines
