Job Overview

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a results driven content strategy that strengthens the school’s online visibility. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate the institution’s values effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy and Management

  • Develop and implement a clear and engaging social media strategy
  • Manage the school’s presence across Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all digital platforms

Content Creation and Campaigns

  • Create original and engaging content including text, images, and videos
  • Highlight school events, student achievements, academic programs, and community initiatives
  • Promote admissions, school programs, and special events through targeted digital campaigns
  • Collaborate with school leadership and staff to ensure accurate communication

Community Engagement and Reporting

  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries professionally
  • Engage with the online community to build trust and strengthen relationships
  • Track analytics and prepare monthly reports on engagement, reach, and growth
  • Stay updated on current social media trends, tools, and best practices

Requirements

  • Minimum of National Diploma or higher in Mass Communication, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field
  • At least 2 years experience managing social media for a school, brand, or organization
  • Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok platforms
  • Proficiency in content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar applications
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and communication skills
  • Creative mindset with strong attention to visual detail
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Familiarity with educational environments is an added advantage
