Job Overview
The Static & Rotating Equipment Engineer will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of all static and rotating equipment within Siperco Nigeria Limited's manufacturing plant. This position requires a proactive approach to asset management, focusing on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of static equipment such as pressure vessels, tanks, and piping systems.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, and agitators.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions to restore functionality.
- Participate in the commissioning and installation of new equipment, ensuring proper integration and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining static and rotating equipment, preferably within a manufacturing or process industry.
- Proven experience with various types of pumps, compressors, and pressure vessels.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and engineering best practices.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
