Job Overview
Ashby is looking for a Staff Design Engineer for our Americas team, a fully remote position within the USA. This role is crucial in translating our product vision into intuitive, user-centric designs and collaborating closely with engineering to bring them to life. You'll be instrumental in defining user experiences and ensuring technical feasibility, working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design process from ideation to implementation for key product features.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to define and refine user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Prototype and test design concepts, incorporating user feedback to iterate and improve.
- Ensure technical feasibility and create detailed design specifications for engineering teams.
- Contribute to and evolve Ashby's design system and best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience working closely with engineering teams, understanding technical constraints and possibilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- A passion for solving complex problems and creating exceptional user experiences.
