Job Overview
TED is seeking a talented and experienced Software Architect, Back-End to join our dynamic Technology team. This role will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the robust and scalable back-end systems that power TED's digital platforms and initiatives. You will be a key player in shaping the technical direction of our products, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and secure back-end services and APIs.
- Lead architectural decisions for new features and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies and best practices to improve our technology stack.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of technical excellence.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Back-End Software Architect or Senior Back-End Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in back-end programming languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java).
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Deep understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
- Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies.
