Job Overview
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be instrumental in managing all costs relating to construction projects, from initial calculations to final figures. This role demands a proactive individual with a strong understanding of construction contracts, tender processes, and project financial management. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the profitability and successful financial completion of our projects.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
- Manage and control project budgets and expenditure.
- Administer construction contracts and ensure compliance.
- Valuation of works and interim payment applications.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Prepare final accounts and project close-out reports.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional qualification (e.g., RICS) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a Senior QS role.
- In-depth knowledge of construction law and contract administration.
- Proficiency in relevant QS software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proven track record in cost management of large-scale construction projects.
