Job Overview
The Senior PR and Communications Officer will be instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive public relations and communication strategies for Legend Golden Care Foundation. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills, adept at building and maintaining the organization's positive public image and expanding its reach.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement integrated PR and communication strategies aligned with LGCF's mission and objectives.
- Craft compelling press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials.
- Manage media relations, cultivate relationships with journalists, and secure positive media coverage.
- Oversee the organization's social media presence, content creation, and community engagement.
- Develop and manage internal and external communication channels.
- Organize and promote LGCF events and campaigns.
- Monitor media coverage and analyze communication effectiveness.
- Advise leadership on communication matters and crisis management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public relations and communications, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful PR campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of English.
- Proficiency in social media management and digital communication tools.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong media relationships.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Understanding of the Nigerian media landscape and social issues.
