Job Overview
The Senior Consultant, Accounts and Tax will be responsible for providing expert advice and strategic solutions in accounting and taxation to our diverse clientele, with a strong emphasis on supporting MSMEs. This role demands a proactive and analytical individual capable of managing complex financial and tax matters and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage client accounting functions, including financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Provide expert advice on corporate and personal taxation, ensuring compliance with Malaysian and relevant international tax laws.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize client tax positions.
- Conduct financial reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation.
- Liaise with tax authorities and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and tax legislation.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MICPA, CTA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and taxation, preferably within a consulting or advisory environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax laws.
- Experience working with MSMEs is a significant advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tax preparation tools.
