Job Overview
The Risk Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining a best-in-class risk management culture across VFD Group. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks across all business operations.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a robust enterprise-wide risk management framework.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize key risks facing the organization, including operational, financial, strategic, and compliance risks.
- Design and execute risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk controls and the overall risk profile of the company.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments for new products, services, and initiatives.
- Foster a strong risk-aware culture through training and communication.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies concerning risk matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Risk Manager or in a similar risk-focused role.
- In-depth understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Familiarity with the Nigerian financial services sector and regulatory landscape.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PRM, FRM, CRISC) are an added advantage.
