Job Overview
The RF Engineer will be responsible for the design, optimization, and performance monitoring of radio access networks (RAN). This role involves ensuring the quality, coverage, and capacity of our clients' mobile networks, contributing directly to Infratel Africa's reputation for excellence.Key Responsibilities
- Conducting site surveys and analysis for new network deployments.
- Designing and optimizing RF network parameters to improve coverage and capacity.
- Performing drive tests and analyzing results to identify and resolve performance issues.
- Troubleshooting and resolving RF-related incidents and alarms.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network integration.
- Maintaining up-to-date documentation of network configurations and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an RF Engineer in a telecommunications environment.
- Strong understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G radio access technologies.
- Proficiency in RF planning and optimization tools (e.g., Atoll, Planet).
- Experience with drive test tools (e.g., TEMS, Nemo).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
