Job Overview
The Stores Officer will be responsible for the meticulous management of hotel inventory, from receiving and storing goods to issuing them for operational use. This position requires a proactive approach to maintain accurate records, prevent stock discrepancies, and optimize stock levels to support the hotel's service standards and financial objectives.Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records of all hotel supplies and materials.
- Oversee the receiving of goods, ensuring quality and quantity match order specifications.
- Organize and maintain the stores in a systematic and accessible manner.
- Process and fulfill requisitions for supplies from various hotel departments.
- Conduct regular stock takes and cycle counts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Implement and enforce stock control procedures to minimize waste and prevent loss.
- Monitor stock levels and generate reports for management on inventory status and potential shortages.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards within the stores area.
