Job Overview
The Procurement Executive will be responsible for managing and optimizing the end-to-end procurement process for VURIN Group’s various business units. This includes developing and implementing procurement strategies, identifying and negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry best practices.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to meet the Group's procurement needs.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, ensuring quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors to secure favorable agreements.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, fostering strong partnerships.
- Oversee the requisition, purchase order, and invoice processing workflow.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and generate regular reports on spending and supplier performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the oil and gas or infrastructure sectors in Nigeria.
- Proven track record of successful negotiation and contract management.
- Strong understanding of procurement principles, best practices, and risk management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Membership in a professional procurement body is an added advantage.
