Job Overview
As a Platform Engineer at Defense Unicorns, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure cloud platforms. This role is pivotal in enabling our Navy clients to leverage cutting-edge technology for enhanced defense capabilities. You will collaborate closely with development and operations teams to ensure the seamless delivery of software and infrastructure.Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and platform services.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and operational tasks using infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Monitor platform health, performance, and security, implementing improvements as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the platform and associated services.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for the platform.
- Contribute to the evolution of our platform standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or in a similar infrastructure role.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
