Job Overview
The Operations Readiness Program Manager will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and successful launch of new Zipline operations in Nigeria. This involves coordinating cross-functional teams, developing robust operational plans, and ensuring all aspects of readiness, from infrastructure to personnel, are meticulously managed.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans for operational readiness across new Zipline sites in Nigeria.
- Oversee the establishment of new operational hubs, including site selection, construction oversight, and equipment installation.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Legal to ensure alignment and timely execution.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) tailored to the Nigerian operational context.
- Manage vendor relationships and procurement processes for operational equipment and services.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for operational challenges.
- Drive training and onboarding programs for local operational teams.
- Monitor operational performance metrics and identify areas for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in program management, ideally within logistics, aviation, or a high-growth technology company.
- Demonstrated experience in launching and scaling operations in emerging markets, preferably in Nigeria or West Africa.
- Strong understanding of operational processes, supply chain management, and logistics.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience using relevant tools.
