Job Overview
The MEAL Officer will be instrumental in strengthening PREHYA's program effectiveness and accountability. This role involves designing and implementing robust MEAL systems, ensuring data quality, and facilitating learning to inform programmatic adjustments and strategic decision-making for all PREHYA initiatives across Nigeria.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine MEAL frameworks, tools, and methodologies for PREHYA projects.
- Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting to track project progress and outcomes.
- Conduct regular monitoring visits to project sites to assess implementation and identify challenges.
- Facilitate learning sessions with project teams and stakeholders to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of all collected data.
- Contribute to proposal development by providing MEAL expertise.
- Build the capacity of program staff in MEAL principles and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Health, or Statistics.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing MEAL systems for development programs.
- Strong analytical and data management skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Excel, statistical software, database management).
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Experience working with youth and reproductive health programs is an advantage.
- Familiarity with the Nigerian context is preferred.
