Join our passionate team in Nigeria and contribute to transforming children's lives and shaping a brighter future for all. ## Job Overview Save the children is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Officer to join our team in Nigeria. This crucial role will be instrumental in ensuring the effectiveness, impact, and continuous improvement of our programs focused on strengthening health systems and supporting maternal and child health in four northern states. The MEAL Officer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust MEAL frameworks, ensuring data quality, and fostering a culture of learning across our initiatives. ## Key Responsibilities * Develop and implement comprehensive MEAL plans, tools, and methodologies tailored to Save the Children's health and maternal/child health programs in Nigeria. * Oversee the collection, verification, and analysis of program data, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and timeliness for reporting and decision-making. * Establish and manage robust accountability mechanisms to ensure beneficiary feedback is systematically collected, analyzed, and used to improve program delivery. * Facilitate learning events and processes, translating MEAL findings into actionable insights and recommendations for program adaptation and strategic adjustments. * Conduct regular field monitoring visits to assess program progress, identify challenges, and provide on-the-ground support to program teams. * Prepare high-quality MEAL reports for internal stakeholders, donors, and government partners, clearly articulating program performance and impact. * Build the capacity of program staff and partners in MEAL principles and practices through training and ongoing mentorship. * Contribute to the design and development of new program proposals by providing technical input on MEAL frameworks and indicators. ## Requirements * A Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, International Development, Statistics, or a related field.
