Job Overview
The Mechanical Inspector (Rotating Equipment) will be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections, testing, and evaluations of various rotating equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and Dovaheights Energy’s quality assurance protocols. This position demands a meticulous approach and a deep understanding of rotating machinery used in the demanding Oil & Gas environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed mechanical inspections of turbines, pumps, compressors, and other rotating equipment.
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) and other inspection methods as required.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and maintenance records.
- Identify defects, deviations, and potential failure modes.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Inspector, with a specialization in rotating equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of various types of rotating machinery and their failure mechanisms.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
- Relevant certifications in inspection and NDT methods are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
