Job Overview
The Manager, Maintenance and Auxiliary Services will lead a dedicated team in managing all aspects of building maintenance, groundskeeping, utilities, and a range of auxiliary services. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, adept at resource management, and committed to upholding the highest standards of operational efficiency and service delivery within a vibrant academic setting.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs for all university buildings and infrastructure.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of all utility systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and water supply.
- Manage groundskeeping and landscaping activities to maintain aesthetically pleasing and safe campus grounds.
- Supervise and coordinate external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage the budget for maintenance and auxiliary services, optimizing resource allocation.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of maintenance and auxiliary services personnel.
- Oversee and improve the provision of auxiliary services such as cleaning, waste management, and transportation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a related operational role.
- Proven experience in managing budgets and leading operational teams.
