Job Overview
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution, and supervision of all maintenance activities across Proforce Limited's facilities and vehicle fleet in Nigeria. This includes developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance strategies, managing a team of skilled technicians, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with a proven ability to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance schedules for all company assets.
- Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Oversee the procurement and management of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex maintenance and repair problems.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, costs, and inventory.
- Collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance management role, preferably within the automotive or defence industry.
- Proven experience in managing a technical team.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, including preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Proficient in diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
