- * Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify specific leadership and management skill gaps among State Ministry of Health Program Managers. * Design and deliver tailored training programs, workshops, and mentorship initiatives focused on leadership, strategic planning, financial management, and program oversight. * Develop and implement innovative approaches to build sustainable leadership capacity within state-level health systems. * Provide ongoing coaching and technical assistance to Program Managers to support the application of learned leadership skills in their daily work. * Facilitate peer-to-peer learning and knowledge sharing among Program Managers to foster a collaborative leadership environment. * Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of capacity-building interventions, providing data-driven recommendations for improvement. * Collaborate with government counterparts, stakeholders, and other partners to ensure alignment and integration of capacity-building efforts with national and state health priorities. * Contribute to the development of leadership frameworks and tools that can be adopted and scaled by the Ministry of Health.
Requirements
- * A Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. * A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in public health program management, capacity building, or leadership development, preferably within a government or non-governmental organization context. * Proven experience in designing and delivering adult learning programs, including workshops, training modules, and mentorship. * Strong understanding of health systems strengthening, public health programming in Nigeria, and the operational realities of State Ministries of Health. * Excellent facilitation, coaching, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior-level professionals. * Proficiency in conducting needs assessments, developing learning objectives, and evaluating training impact. * Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a dynamic team environment.
