Job Overview
The Lead Cardiologist will spearhead the Cardiovascular Department at AMCE, overseeing clinical operations, driving medical excellence, and fostering a culture of innovation. This pivotal role requires a distinguished physician with a proven track record in advanced cardiology practice, leadership, and a passion for advancing cardiac healthcare in Africa.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all clinical aspects of the Cardiology Department, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
- Develop and implement cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment protocols for cardiovascular diseases.
- Mentor and guide a team of cardiologists, fellows, and allied health professionals.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient management.
- Contribute to the development and execution of research initiatives within the cardiovascular field.
- Participate in educational programs for medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Ensure adherence to all ethical, legal, and institutional policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Specialist postgraduate qualification in Cardiology (e.g., FWACP, FRCP, Board Certification).
- Current medical license to practice in Nigeria.
- Minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience in clinical cardiology, with significant leadership experience.
- Expertise in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, or advanced imaging is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated commitment to medical education and research.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
