Job Overview
The Lead Architect will be responsible for overseeing the architectural vision, design development, and project execution for a diverse portfolio of construction projects within Contemporary Group Limited. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional design sensibility, strong leadership qualities, and a proven ability to manage complex projects from inception through to completion. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the aesthetic and functional outcomes of our developments, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timeline.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design process for all projects, ensuring innovative and sustainable solutions.
- Manage and mentor architectural teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Develop and refine design concepts, master plans, and detailed architectural drawings.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and client requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of tender documents, specifications, and Bills of Quantities in collaboration with other consultants.
- Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to present designs and secure approvals.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the construction phase.
- Stay abreast of emerging architectural trends, technologies, and materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
- Professional registration with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in architectural design and project management.
- Demonstrated experience in leading architectural teams and managing significant construction projects.
- Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp).
- Strong understanding of Nigerian building codes and construction practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
