Job Overview
The Finance & Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations and tax compliance for Sinoma Cargo International Nigeria Ltd. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of Nigerian financial regulations and accounting principles to ensure the company's financial health and legal adherence.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and financial reports.
- Oversee accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Nigerian tax laws and regulations, including corporate income tax, VAT, and withholding tax.
- Manage tax filings, audits, and liaise with tax authorities.
- Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage banking relationships and cash flow effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance and tax management, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry in Nigeria.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian accounting standards and tax legislation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
