Job Overview
The Internal Auditor will be responsible for independently assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes across all departments of O.K. Isokariari & Sons (Nigeria) Limited. This role involves planning and executing audits to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, thereby safeguarding company assets and enhancing operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive audit plans, including financial, operational, and compliance audits.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems and recommend improvements.
- Identify and assess risks, and propose mitigation strategies to management.
- Conduct thorough investigations into suspected fraud, irregularities, or policy violations.
- Prepare detailed audit reports, highlighting findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Stay abreast of relevant industry best practices and regulatory changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIA is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in internal audit, preferably within the EPC sector or a similar industry.
- Strong understanding of auditing principles, accounting standards, and Nigerian regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
