Job Overview
The Accounting Assistant - Receivables will play a crucial role in managing and processing incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all accounts receivable transactions. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of accounting principles.Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card payments.
- Accurately record all accounts receivable transactions in the accounting system.
- Reconcile accounts receivable to the general ledger.
- Assist with the preparation of accounts receivable aging reports.
- Communicate with clients regarding outstanding balances and payment inquiries.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
