Job Overview
The Head of Payment Services will be responsible for the strategic direction, operational oversight, and continuous innovation of Hope PSBank’s payment ecosystem. This role will drive the development and execution of payment strategies to enhance customer experience, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the bank's growth objectives within the digital banking space.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive payment strategies aligned with the bank's digital-first mandate.
- Oversee all payment operations, including real-time payments, card processing, mobile money, and emerging payment channels.
- Manage relationships with payment processors, switch providers, and other key partners.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and industry standards.
- Drive innovation in payment products and services to meet evolving customer needs.
- Monitor payment performance metrics and identify areas for optimization and efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of payment professionals.
- Mitigate payment-related risks and ensure the security of transactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in payment services, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a financial institution.
- In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian payment landscape and regulatory framework.
- Proven track record in developing and launching successful payment solutions.
- Strong understanding of payment technologies, trends, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in digital banking or fintech is highly desirable.
