Job Overview
The Head, Internal Audit & Risk will be responsible for establishing and managing a comprehensive internal audit and risk management framework. This role is critical in safeguarding Amaiden Energy Nigeria’s assets, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies, and promoting operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust internal audit plans and strategies.
- Conduct independent risk assessments across all business units and operational areas.
- Oversee the execution of financial, operational, and compliance audits.
- Identify control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and monitor the implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
- Report audit findings and risk assessments to senior management and the Board.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, or CRISC is essential.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in internal audit and risk management, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing risk-based audit plans.
- Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
