Job Overview
The Founding Solutions Engineer in Singapore will be instrumental in driving the adoption and success of Tailscale within the region. You will be a trusted technical advisor to prospective and existing customers, demonstrating the value and capabilities of our secure networking solution. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a proactive, entrepreneurial spirit.Key Responsibilities
- Engage with potential customers to understand their networking challenges and demonstrate how Tailscale addresses them.
- Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations, demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept.
- Provide expert technical guidance and support throughout the sales cycle, from initial inquiry to post-implementation.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to drive pipeline growth and achieve revenue targets.
- Gather customer feedback to inform product development and strategy.
- Act as a primary technical point of contact for key accounts in the Singapore region.
- Contribute to the development of regional sales enablement materials and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in a Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or similar technical pre-sales role.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security best practices (e.g., TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, identity management).
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
